This year, don’t make that same old boring, full of canned soup green bean casserole for Thanksgiving.  Give this fresh and tasty alternative a try!

Fresh Green Beans

1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed

1 T. olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 c. chicken stock

1/4 c. white wine (optional)

sea salt

pepper

Step one: heat olive oil in a skillet and add garlic and green beans

Step two:  saute until crisp tender

Step three:  add stock and wine, continue to saute, stirring frequently until slightly browned

Step four:  season with salt and pepper

These beans are perfect for a Thanksgiving side dish, but they are also terrific as a weekly side with any meat, pizza or burgers.  I make them often and the kids gobble them up!
