Well, I read a LOT of great books in March. I’m not sure when I squeezed them all in (probably in carpool lines and at lunch!), but I found some great ones. Here is a link to everything I read, and below are the re-caps of my favorites:
What a lovely book. I really enjoyed this one. Instead of reading it all at once, I would read 4 “chapters” each morning as part of my morning routine. That way I allowed the wisdom to sink in slowly. I also tried to implement at least one of the tips each day. If you like positive ideas, practices and suggestions in small bites, this would be a great book for you or as a gift to someone special. My rating 5 out of 5.
This was one of the first books I read in March, and what a great way to start off a month of strong fiction! The story begins with Lauren accepting a position for an older lady transcribing a diary from a young girl accused of being a witch during the Salem witch trials. The book bounces back and forth between the diary, what Lauren has going on in her life, and learning more about the current owner of the diary. Although on the surface all Lauren is doing is transcribing a diary, there is a lot more going on – and it was fascinating to discover. My rating 4.5 out of 5.
I just finished this book and wow it was engrossing! Definitely do not read ahead if you start this one – there are a lot of unexpected twists and turns and you will miss the excitement if you read the ending first. Some of this book was pretty disturbing – the story connects a missing girl case with the death of a middle aged millionaire. The crimes described were fairly graphic – I actually skimmed through some of the worst of it. The plot is quite clever and fun to try to figure out. My rating 4.5 out of 5.
What books have you enjoyed lately? I’d love to hear what you’ve been reading, so please share in the comments!
