As I’ve mentioned before this month, staying calm and goes a long way towards being relaxed.  In addition to some of the other tips for being relaxed that I’ve shared, here is a super quick and easy one:

Give yourself the grace of EXTRA time.  Rushing around and always being late is a sure fire way to increase your stress levels.  You just can’t feel relaxed and calm if you are running late.

Maybe you are one of those people who are perpetually late (yes, we have those in my family for sure!).  If that is the case, start giving yourself an extra ten minutes for every appointment.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to always be on time, never be rushing around and feeling harried?

YOU CAN DO IT!

This is what I want you to do.  Take a look at your schedule for tomorrow.  Now, anytime you have something back to back and you KNOW you won’t be on time, shift your schedule.  Any appointments on the agenda?  Leave ten minutes earlier than you think you need to.  Just have too much to do?  Remove something – it won’t be the end of the world if it doesn’t get done.  Set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier.  Make your very best effort to be not on time, but EARLY for everything you do tomorrow.  See how you feel at the end of the day – I bet you’ll feel great!  I’d love to hear how this worked out for you, and if being on time made a difference in your attitude and stress level.
