Aside from the treadmill or walking my dog, my favorite ways to workout are Yoga and Pilates. Thanks to the following two resources I easily manage to do one or the other almost every day!
THE SISTERHOOD: I LOVE my daily Pilates workout. Thanks to my favorite membership site “The Sisterhood,” I enjoy a short (10 to 15 minute) workout Monday/Wednesday and Friday and a longer one (about 30 minutes) on Tuesday and Thursday. After paying my annual membership I added it to my phone and every morning I log on, complete my workout and move on with my day. So easy and so fun! ERIN STUTLAND: Whenever I start getting tired of the treadmill, or just feel the need to really bump up my fitness routine, I turn to Erin Stutland. I own several of her DVD’s as well as belong to more online. The workouts are a high energy, fun alternative to running or walking. They are dance inspired, but simple enough for beginners to follow along. Whenever I complete one, I feel fantastic! Full of energy and ready to make the most of the rest of my day. YOGA: My all-time favorite Yoga DVD – if I’m feeling achy or sore, THIS is the video I reach for. It contains 5 short (20 – 25) minute yoga routines. Perfect for starting your day off feeling GREAT!
I love to cook and I am always on the lookout for new recipes and cookbooks. A resource I’ve come to love for the busier weeks in my life is Eat at Home. The program is super affordable, for just $14 a month (that’s less than ONE latte a week), you get access to four delicious meal plans every week: Wholesome Traditional, Traditional, No Flour No Sugar and Slow Cooker. Each menu plan contains six dinners and one dessert. I tend to gravitate towards the Wholesome Traditional and we have been enjoying those meals for a few months now. When I have a super busy week, I just select the Slow Cooker – I can get dinner on the table easily and without stress. It’s wonderful to come home to a delicious and tasty dinner! Each week in addition to the menu plans, you get a full grocery list, so you can just print it out, go to the store and have what you need for a week’s worth of dinners. Love it! When it comes to fashion, I LOVE to shop and put together fun outfits. (Pinterest anyone?) However, I just don’t have the time or money to shop as much as I used to. These days, thanks to GYPO’s seasonal style challenges, I have a wardrobe I love and lots of options for fun outfits that I know look great. Since I enjoy these challenges so much, I’ve signed up for an annual membership (watch for the after Thanksgiving sale if you are interested – it’s always the best deal). However, if you want to just give it a try, check out the seasonal challenges – they are super affordable and lots of fun. You’ll save time everyday by knowing exactly what to wear. You’ll get tons of compliments. You’ll feel good about yourself. You’ll probably save money in the long run – I know I spend a lot less on my clothing after a few years of these challenges! Make Over Your Mornings. This is the perfect place to start because I truly believe that a positive start in the morning sets you up for success the rest of the day. And Crystal Paine is a master at helping you create a fantastic morning routine. It’s a 14-day online course that takes a mere 15 minutes or so each day. It’s also SUPER affordable. I love it so much, I go through it every time I start to feel unmotivated in the morning or need to switch up how I start my days. Check out the details HERE.
Okay, so this one is my own course, but if you are at all interested in becoming a Mystery Shopper, I encourage you to check it out. It’s the resource I wish I had when I started – everything you need in one place. You can complete the class within about an hour. Once you finish, you are ready to begin shopping right away. I’ve taken numerous courses through the years, and so far my favorite (and most useful) have been the courses by It’s a Lovely Life. I’ve taken and enjoyed both the Travel Blogging Fast Track Course and the Blogging Blast Off Course. Both are similar and will help you get your blog off the ground quickly as well as start to grow traffic. Obviously, you have to put in the work, but if you follow the course and complete the assignments, I think you’ll see your blog start to grow.
