November 2015 Book Reviews

Definitely not my best reading month . . . this is going to be a pretty short post.  I did read a decent number of books (see them all HERE), but not much to get excited about. FICTION If you remember, last month I specifically read To Kill a Mockingbird again as a refresher, knowing I had this one on my wait list at the library.  Did I like it? Well, not as much as the first one.  It was interesting to see Scout all grown up, and I thought her new understanding of her childhood, father and hometown revealing.  I actually think I would have liked this book better had I NOT just read To Kill a Mockingbird.  I found myself doing too much comparison between the two and the second just didn’t match up.   However, overall I did like it and am glad I read it.  My rating 4 out of 5. NON-FICTION I have been a reader of Crystal’s website Money Saving Mom for years – I’ve even had a few guest posts on it.  So when I was offered the chance to read this book and share my thoughts about it, I was quite excited!  And I must say I wasn’t disappointed.  If you are a mom (or really anyone) looking to creatively make some money for your family, this book is full of encouragement and thought-provoking tidbits.  I love that Crystal is honest about both her failures and the fact that most of us WILL fail at some point.  I think it’s important that we understand this and can find a way to move...
