I do love my morning coffee!  That first sip is so wonderful . . .and I like a very good dark roast lightened with some flavored creamer – yet I HATE all the crazy additives in most commercial brands.

Last fall I shared my pumpkin spice latte mix, but come spring and summer I want something a little lighter.

So, I played around with some natural ingredients and came up with a delicious Cinnamon Vanilla creamer!  It took a few tries (so I’m pretty wired now!!!), but I really like this version – and it would be quite easy to make up a bigger batch and keep it in a glass jar in the fridge.

2 T. organic half and half

1 T. pure maple syrup

1/2 t. pure vanilla extract (or more to taste)

Step one:  Put these three ingredients in the bottom of your coffee cup.

Step two:  Brew a fresh, dark roast coffee (I like Green Mountain’s Organic Fair Trade French Roast), and pour over top.

Step three:  Add three shakes of cinnamon

Enjoy!
