Just like the spring flowers I’m seeing in our yard these days, I think it’s important for people to continue to learn and grow.  It’s all too easy to Never Stop Growingget stuck into the daily grind and forget the wonder and excitement of learning something new and stretching your limits.  That’s a shame.

Think of growing as personal development, improving yourself, expanding your horizons or just keeping life interesting – however you want to categorize it, it’s an important element of a happy life.  Just by virtue of being alive, you will grow some anyways – life will through experiences and people at you that may cause you to change your beliefs, feelings or thoughts – it’s an inevitable part of being alive.  So why not put conscious effort into growing & creating a life you LOVE versus accepting what comes your way?

Personal growth will be the topic for this month, so expect a few more posts with ideas on how to grow.  In the meantime, below are some reasons WHY you should pay attention to your own personal growth:

  • As I mentioned above, it’s going to happen regardless, so why not direct it the way YOU desire?
  • It’s a sure fire way to increase your quality of life.
  • As a side benefit, you’ll be setting a good example for your kids and improving the life of those around you – happy and satisfied moods are contagious.
  • Personal growth is a key element in happiness.  Most people find that their true happiness comes from the process of creating or doing something, not the end result.

How important is personal growth to you?  Obviously it’s key for me – my entire health and lifestyle business is founded on the desire to help other busy moms create a happy, healthy life that they love.  I am always looking for new ways to help the ladies I coach and myself in the process – after all, we only live once, so let’s enjoy it to the fullest!
